With extensive experience across mediums, Gerri will share why acrylics are her favorite, highlighting their unique properties and her personal insights. Gerri will showcase 5 or 6 stunning paintings and works in progress, demonstrating techniques you can apply to your own art. Handouts will be provided for a closer look at her methods. In addition to painting stills, scapes, people & scenery ( using water color & acrylic), I’ve discovered as an artist, that my style, preference leans toward an “avant-garde” style!
On occasion I collect dried flowers, seeds, cones & mix colors from fruits and vegetables. I then build a canvas project of paint & natural findings from the backyard. On the evening of my “Art Talk”, I plan to demonstrate technique and “looseness” I feel while engaged with my art and share slides of other projects that were the inspiration from moods of the past!
