Artist of the Month - March 2025

LRAA members have the opportunity to enter a piece of artwork into the Artist of the Month Program at each monthly Member Meeting. Winners are able to display and sell a single work for a month in various public venues throughout the Lakes Region in participating Banks and Libraries or Local Businesses.

These Winning Artists' artwork will be on display in locations in the Lakes Region until April 21st.


Sally Hibberd, this month’s First Place winner has the distinct honor of displaying several pieces of his artwork at Annie’s Cafe & Catering in Laconia NH. Warm up with some scrumptious homemade soup and sandwiches and enjoy the art while you eat!

The art pieces for the Honorable Mention artist will be on display through April 21st in the following locations:

Our Mission

The mission of the Lakes Region Art Association is to enhance the ability of its members to create art and to further the appreciation of art in the Lakes Region area by the promotion, education, sale, and display of the visual fine arts. The Association is a non-profit educational and cultural organization located in the Tanger Outlets, Suite 300 in Tilton, New Hampshire.

Watercolor Workshop with Pat Edsall

Watercolor Workshops 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month

Class Dates:

Workshops include beginner to experienced artists.  Join our fun workshops       and learn tips, techniques and paint unique designs created by Pat Edsall        and/or  your favorite subjects.

Saturday Morning Drawing & Painting with Tom Hitchcock

All classes are 10AM to Noon
March 1st, 8th, 22nd, and 29th

• This class is for very serious art students ages 14 to 80.

• Please check in with Tom before coming to each class.

This in-person class series is designed for budding artists and absolute beginners who want to unleash their creativity while learning foundational techniques in a welcoming, supportive environment.

This is a 5-week class with a maximum enrollment of 10 students.

$200 ( $50 deposit at registration, balance due at start of first class).

You’ll learn:

  • The basics of watercolor materials and tools

  • Essential techniques like washes, blending, and layering

  • Tips to create vibrant, dynamic compositions

  • Confidence to start your own watercolor projects

Watercolor on Canvas

This is the return of the popular 2024 curriculum.

  • Taught in the Lakes Region Art Gallery, Tilton Tanger Outlets

  • A Prepared Canvas and class drawing included.

  • Bring your favorite brushes and watercolors (tube or pan).

  • A limited quantity of watercolor and brushes will be available at the class if needed.

  • $50 for the class and supplies

  • Pre-registration is required
