Renovations Continue at the
Lakes Region Art Gallery

The Lakes Region Art Gallery is undergoing a remarkable transformation, creating a more open, welcoming space for both artists and visitors. Located in a spacious 3,000 square foot venue that once served as a children’s clothing store, the gallery’s recent updates have greatly enhanced its functionality and aesthetic appeal.

The most noticeable change is the removal of the former dressing rooms, which once segmented the gallery space. In their place, a sleek 12-foot wall-mounted greeting card rack has been installed, providing a visually appealing and easily accessible display of fine art greeting cards created by local artists. Directly across from the card rack is our new 12-foot sloping display system showcasing many of our larger matted prints, offering a clean and organized presentation.

These enhancements have opened up the gallery’s interior, creating a brighter, more spacious atmosphere where art can truly shine. And this is just the beginning — plans are already underway for fresh interior paint, further refining the gallery’s aesthetic. Additionally, the installation of a professional gallery hanging system is being considered, which will make displaying artwork even more efficient and visually appealing.
